Role of a Supervisor - Bonura Custom Homes
Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience in residential construction, including at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or project management role. The Super will be responsible for Two major roles:
Team Leader – the Super establishes an orderly work flow on the jobsite and has the responsibility as part of the Project Team for the successful completion of the project. The Super must enjoy and be comfortable working with a wide variety of people on a wide variety of issues. Must maintain a superior knowledge of construction practices. Must efficiently manage projects from the pre-construction stage through internal/client delivery.
The Super is the onsite face of the company with our customers. He/She sets the tone vendors, sub-contractors and site labor can expect, establishing the orderly work flow on the jobsite.
Requirements of this Position:
The position of Super does require a level of physical capability and would not be suitable for someone unable or unwilling to perform the following:
- Negotiate multiple flights of stairs
- Negotiate construction sites without assistance from others
- Drive a passenger vehicle
- Hold a valid Florida driver’s license
- Lift and carry 50 lbs for short distances without assistance
- Climb long ladders (EX. 20’) up and down without assistance
- Ability to move equipment, supplies and furnishings
- Maintain an organized work environment
- Clearly communicate verbally and in writing
- Be comfortable with technology being used at the company
- Be willing to submit to random drug and alcohol testing
- Be comfortable contributing to a team environment
- Maintain a professional appearance which includes a dress code to wear a company branded collared shirt while at work
- Have excellent basic math skills, able to calculate quantities of footage, areas and volumes
- Be comfortable meeting aggressive deadlines
- Be able to read and interpret a full set of construction documents
- Have excellent spatial perception and be able to visualize in 3D
- Have excellent knowledge of construction best practices, processes, procedures, and building codes
- Able to determine level, plumb, and square using industry standard methods
- Understand and implement OSHA jobsite safety requirements
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Under the immediate supervision of the Director of Construction (“DOC”), the Super is the onsite point of contact for customers. The Super manages all assigned projects from a “hand-off” from the Supervisor through the delivery of the completed project. Below are key expectations of the position.

Specific Duties:
These are hands-on tasks the Super will be expected to perform competently.
- Liaison between subcontractors, vendors and Company management
- Adhere to and daily update of the assigned project schedule using the current management software
- Perform subcontractor “walks” of the jobsite to confirm site conditions match the scope of work
- Adhere to the scope of work for each specific job
- Be aware of and adhere to the budget for each assigned job
- Receives from the DOC the job start package which would include but not be limited to construction drawings, specs, purchase orders, permits, ID drawings and schedule
- Review plans with the DOC before permit submittal for permitting issues and omissions
- Reviews the schedule for accuracy, with the DOC, before sharing with the owner
- Is responsible for all assigned projects “daily update” using the construction software in place
- Participate in team meetings that review job schedule, budget and field issues
- Perform daily quality control walks on each job and note issues immediately to subcontractors
- Responsible for ensuring OSHA-compliant safe work practices
- Attends classroom training sessions as required
- Relays customer change order requests to the DOC
- Assures no work is performed onsite that is not supported by the contract or an approved change order
- Ensure each job close-out is complete
Customer Management:
Meets with customers onsite to ensure their safety. Keeps conversations with the customers limited to:
- Schedule – what is currently happening and the next week of work
- Note all customer issues and share them with the DOC to resolve
- Does not discuss negative issues with the client – deferring to the DOC
Regular Performance Review:
A formal performance review will be conducted annually or at the discretion of the Director of Construction.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
