Summary
Are you passionate about helping people? We are looking for motivated people to bring lots of positive energy to our Supported Living Program.
We offer 24 hour care and supervision to adults with ID, Autism and mild mental health diagnoses. Our shifts consist of helping our consumers with living their BEST lives, as independent as possible in their community, with lots of positive reinforcement. Weekend availability a PLUS!!!!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist/support with all areas of daily living- self-care hygiene, laundry, light housekeeping, etc.
Modeling and encouraging our participants to engage in positive life experiences and promote socialization.
Assist participants with meal prep and developing a sense of simple cooking skills and making healthy choices.
Maintain a clean, sanitary environment.
Assisting with monthly budgeting needs
Encourage positive therapeutic activities, such as physical exercises, occupational arts and crafts, and recreational games.
Observes and documents all data pertaining to meeting their IPP goals.
Providing transportation to/from all health, dental and psychiatric appointments.
Help with the self-administration of medications as prescribed by Physician and/or Primary Care.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 months of experience providing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, and other care team members
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations and priorities
