Roles and Responsibilities
- Meet with the client or owner as well as other professionals such as architects and subcontractors to understand the scope of the project and coordinate with the numerous team members to reach a successful outcome
- Analyze site issues such as mapping, materials testing data or other components using prescribed procedures
- Read, interpret or amend blueprints
- Assess the environmental impact and risks connected with the project
- Prepare bids contractors and report results
- Manage, direct and monitor projects on an ongoing basis and report results including delays, issues or problems
- Ensure that site meets legal guidelines and health and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelors of Science Preferred
- At least one year of related experience working on midsize, large scale projects

- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing to a wide variety of clients, contractors, owners and coworkers
- Excellent mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to understand and manage budgets and deadlines
- The ability to manage a team
- Current knowledge of building codes, local, state and federal laws and requirements
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Must be able to sit at a computer or desk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to walk a construction site including uneven surfaces and for long distances
- Must be able to work outside in extreme conditions including heat and cold, rain and other weather conditions
- Must be able to use hands/arms to operate keyboard, telephone and for repetitive motion activities.
