Books & Bibs Child Care & Learning Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, eager and passionate Infant/Toddler teacher to work with ages 6 weeks through 4 years old.
Our child development center is open from 6:30am-6pm, so no nights or weekends are required!
A quality child care provider will provide a nurturing and safe environment for children to develop and reach age appropriate milestones. They will demonstrate good judgement in the care and play with each infant assigned to you. They will verbally engage children throughout the day in addition to incorporating play activities.
Responsibilities for Infant Teacher
- Provide a safe and loving environment for the infants in his/her care
- Give bottles to infants as provided by parents
- Feed infants' solid foods as age appropriate and provided by parents
- Change diapers as needed
- Soothe infants by singing to and cuddling them
- Supervise infants on the floor as they play with age appropriate toys
- Put infants in cribs for nap time
- Ensure play, sleep and changing areas are kept clean
Qualifications for Infant Teacher
- High School Diploma or GED
- Caring individual who enjoys teaching young children
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Extended periods of time sitting on the floor
- Ability to work a shift in between 6:00 am _6:30 pm
- Reliable transportation to the Child Care center
- Great customer service skills to communicate effectively with parents
- Clean background check
Experience in a child care setting is preferred. A candidate with a CDA (Child Development Associate Credential) is also preferred, and will likely be paid on the higher scale.
Our center is part of the Shared Services Alliance with Pre-K 4 SA and employees with our company are eligible to receive free Professional Development and training through Pre-K 4 SA as part of the Alliance.
They are also able to receive their CDA (Child Development Associate Credential) through our program as well at no cost.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
