OVERVIEW:

BOOM Ventures is an independent, brand engagement agency working within the sports, entertainment, retail, and lifestyle marketing industries. Our services include experience design, special event production (B2B, B2C / IRL & Virtual), sports & entertainment consulting, IP development, research & data, retail marketing, digital & innovation, content production and hospitality.

Location: Mill Creek, WA (or surrounding area)

The Field Market Manager will lead community engagement and event activations from Feb 10th through April 26th, focusing on building meaningful relationships with local businesses, schools, community centers, gyms, and other key establishments. This role involves activating these partnerships through monthly coupon distribution and engagement tactics to drive awareness, store traffic, and new customer trials. This remote position requires an entrepreneurial spirit, attention to detail, and a positive attitude!

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with exceptional note-taking skills, and experience in excel spreadsheets. This position involves assisting with a high-profile account that includes both event production and extensive community engagement. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in onsite production for large-scale events, with a "boots-on-the-ground" mindset and the ability to handle last-minute requests effectively. Proximity to Mill Creek, WA, is strongly preferred, as the position involves driving and local flyering. Having a strong understanding of the Mill Creek, WA area would be a bonus.

Responsibilities include the following:

Account Strategy & Team Collaboration:

  • Be an integral member of the BOOM account and field team, actively participating in overall market strategy, planning, and in-field operations.
  • Maintain clear communication and alignment with the team on all account activities.
  • Community Engagement & Relations:
  • Build and foster strong relationships with schools, youth centers, first responders, store managers, and local stakeholders.
  • Support brand awareness through authentic community engagement and event activations.
  • Drive foot traffic via flyering and grassroots initiatives.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Perform heavy administrative tasks, including logging detailed information, managing data, and tracking engagement outcomes.
  • Maintain meticulous records for coupon distributions, storage, and usage.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting, with a strong emphasis on documentation and note-taking.
  • Event Management and Production:
  • Assist in producing a large-scale event with a focus on onsite execution.
  • Responsibilities include set-up, troubleshooting, and managing mid-to-large-scale event footprints.
  • Experience in live event production is essential, with the ability to handle fast-paced environments and adapt to last-minute changes.
  • Budget Management:
  • Track all expenses related to the program and collaborate with the BOOM account team to project costs accurately.
  • Reporting and Recaps:
  • Produce detailed post-event and drop recaps in a timely manner, summarizing engagement outcomes, insights, and key learnings.
  • Flexibility and Availability:
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and respond to last-minute requests when needed.
  • Field Operations & Storage:
  • A personal vehicle is required for transporting items to stores and events, along with the ability to take promotional items to storage as needed.
  • Be prepared for extensive local travel, with driving and flyering as core components of the role.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong Administrative and Organizational Skills: High attention to detail, data logging, and note-taking are critical.
  • Event Production Expertise: Experience in managing and executing large-scale events with onsite production experience is required.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to engage and communicate effectively with clients, team members, and community partners.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Flexibility to handle last-minute requests and pivot as needed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Docs.
  • Independent Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Community and Grassroots Engagement: Experience building relationships with community stakeholders and executing boots-on-the-ground initiatives.

ADDITIONAL SPECIFICS:

  • Typical Schedule: Onsite work: 3 days per week / Administrative Work: 1 day per week
  • Timing: Feb 10th – April 26th
  • Compensation: Competitive against industry standards
  • Employment Status: Independent Contractor (1099)
  • All program-related expenses are reimbursed
