Boom is on a mission to level the playing field for the 110 million renters in the US by making housing more flexible, affordable, and rewarding. Boom is building a suite of rental financial services for renters and property managers, including tenant screening, rent payment reporting, rent reporting-as-a-service, and a number of integrations with the largest property management systems (PMS). Opportunity
As one of the first Account Managers at Boom, you will be at the frontline of our client relationships, playing a key role in driving customer retention and growth. You will report to the Head of Operations and work closely with the broader operations (i.e., support) team, sales, marketing, product, and the CEO and CTO. This role combines operational execution (getting partners launched and renewed) and sales / persuasion (to expand / deepen client relationships). This role is an excellent fit for someone who is high energy, highly organized, works well cross-functionally and is not afraid to sell. Lastly, in this role, you'll have a lot of decision-making power while being involved in many senior-level company decisions; and as one of the first AM hires, you will have a lot of ability to shape and lead the function. Given the importance of the role, we are primarily targeting Austin-based in-person hires for this role, but are flexible. The role is salaried with equity and sales based commission for upsells (targeted in the ~5% of ACV range).
What you'll do
- Onboarding : Launch new clients with a focus on improving the time to launch
- Client management : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact
- Relationship maximization : Proactively identify opportunities to optimize client use of our platform, driving engagement and adoption
- Client-Boom liaison : Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, providing feedback to help shape product development
- Renewal management : Manage client renewals and upsell opportunities to drive revenue growth
- Problem triaging : Troubleshoot client issues, working with product / engineering as needed, to ensure timely resolution to maintain high satisfaction levels
- Client-facing reporting : Develop / deliver performance reports to show the value Boom brings to clients
