Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Landscaping Attendant is responsible for maintaining gardens, planters, and all other outdoor landscapes. They ensure plant growth, the cleanliness of outdoor facilities and pruning of overgrown plants and hedges and maintain equipment and walkways.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping.
- Utilize pesticides to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitos, wasps, and ants.
- Efficiently apply fertilizer to property grounds to enhance growth.
- Safely cut grounds using hand tools or power mower for trimming edges around walkways, flower beds, and walls.
- Monitor property grounds to ensure a pleasant appearance.
- Ensure grounds are free of weeds and dead plants.
- Make recommendations for replacement and/or new plants.
- Assist Guests with directions, miscellaneous information, other assistance as needed.
- Be willing to enhance knowledge in assigned duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 21years of age.
- Knowledge of landscaping and pest management preferred.
- Basic knowledge of gardening tools and equipment.
- Must be a team player and be able to solve problems independently.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully.
- Physical requirements include lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to stand and walk the Park throughout the day.
