ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Provides fast, friendly, professional and responsive customer service to culinary team members and guests. Greets, and makes welcome, each guest approaching their station
- Prepares food items per guest order as required including, but not limited to, breakfast items, entrees and desserts according to guest request Employs proper cooking methods, cooks to specifications, and handles, stores and rotates food properly in accordance with established health and safety standards
- Prepare and properly garnish all food orders in accordance with menu specifications
- Prepare sauces, soups and hot entrées in accordance with menu
- Perform work assignments to meet proper quantities within a necessary time frame.
- Prepare a mixture of buffet and plated style items using proper plate presentation techniques
- Production of orders to include Grilling, Roasting, and Baking fish, steaks, chicken and shellfish.
- Coordinate completion of menu items with server
- Set up for meal periods by ensuring that stations are set up based upon anticipated volumes
- Slice, dice, chop and prepare raw products
- Carve meats, portion food on serving plates, add gravies and sauces, and garnish plates as required
- Adhere to company standards for safe food handling and storage
- Keep equipment clean and in proper operating conditions
- Maintain cleanliness and stocks coolers and storage areas
- Operates and maintains all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures
- Provides personalized service and uses guests’ names when possible
- Assists in training new Banquet Cooks.
- Must be able to stand for a full shift.
- Any and all duties as assigned by your Supervisor or a member of management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - High school diploma or equivalent and two years experience in a full service restaurant preferred or an equivalent combination thereof.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Knowledge of weights, measures and recipe yield.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Apprentice for Certification preferred.
- Knowledge and ability to use all kitchen tools and equipment. Ability to identify all products used in kitchen operation. Ability to recognize spoiled or questionable products. Ability to read, comprehend and execute recipes.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the cast member is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and taste or smell. The team member is frequently required to talk or hear. The team member is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be able to tolerate areas with high temperatures and industry standard chemicals used for cleaning and sanitizing.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
