Position Overview : We are seeking an organized and proactive Operations Lead to be a driving force behind the development and success of Boondocks. This individual will play a key role in shaping the restaurant's foundation, from planning and sourcing equipment to coordinating logistics and operational processes. Key Responsibilities :
- Work closely with ownership to develop and implement restaurant concepts, menu offerings, and operational strategies
- Research, source, and procure necessary equipment, furniture, and supplies
- Assist with kitchen layout planning, workflow optimization, and efficiency strategies
- Develop vendor relationships and coordinate deliveries for equipment, food, and supplies
- Organize initial hiring and training processes for team members
- Oversee budgeting for start-up expenses and operational costs
- Assist in creating policies, procedures, and training materials for staff
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as local food service requirements
- Collaborate with marketing efforts to establish Boondocks’ brand and presence in the community
- Adapt and problem-solve in a dynamic, evolving start-up environment
- Recruit, hire, and train all restaurant staff, including servers and hosts
- Schedule employees to ensure shifts have proper coverage
- Streamline restaurant processes to improve the guest experience
- Enforce food handling regulations and other guidelines to increase guest safety
- Promote the restaurant and find ways to bring in more customers
- Handle customer complaints
- Complete necessary paperwork, such as sales, inventory, and staff attendance reports
