As an Estimator at Boone Contracting, you will play a critical role in helping us grow by accurately assessing project costs and ensuring we meet the financial objectives for each project. This full-time, in-person role will involve working closely with the sales team, project managers, and subcontractors to provide detailed estimates that support the successful execution of our projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including residential and commercial remodels, new builds, and multi-family units.
• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to accurately assess materials, labor, and time requirements.
• Use Buildertrend and other estimating software tools to generate detailed cost breakdowns.
• Work with subcontractors to obtain competitive bids and evaluate their proposals.
• Assist with scope changes and prepare cost modifications as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates are aligned with project budgets and timelines.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and materials to provide accurate and competitive estimates.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in the remodeling or commercial construction sectors.
• Proficiency with Buildertrend or similar project management software.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and materials, with a focus on estimating and project management.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with subcontractors, clients, and project teams.
• Ability to travel to various job sites and reliable transportation (personal vehicle required).
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Must be willing to work full-time in person at our office in Lexington, KY.

Salary and Benefits:

• Full Time position
• Competitive salary at $55,000 to $70,000, based on experience.
