The Opportunity:
Boone County Distilling Company is a Craft Bourbon Distillery on the Kentucky Craft Bourbon Trail. We are searching for a Retail Manager to join our team. Our idea Retail Manager will have experience in retail management seeking their next challenge. As Retail Manager, you will oversee the team of retail tour guide associates as well as, production.

- Provides daily coaching and directions to their team via multiple forums; one-on-ones, team huddles and department meetings.
- Maintains strong working relationships with management, the operations team and peers, working as a team to build a culture of success.
- In alignment with their manager, provides guidance, monitors and manages the enforcement of all company policies and procedures.
- Consistently meets or exceeds operational standards, including store appearance, inventory and appropriate levels of staffing, while minimizing or eliminating losses to the company.
- Assists with Operation Manager functions and performs other duties as requested by management.
- Follow and maintain company policy, safety and sanitation procedures.
- Coordinate and supervise the tour guide associates and daily operations.
- Works regularly with team to maintain strong customer service standards.
- Coordinate with owner and distillers on production orders.
- Ensure production orders are fulfilled and packaged property for transport.
- Bottling and Labeling of products.
- Handle guest relations and monitor to quality assurance standards.
- Work with team to reach sales goals.
- Learn professionally written tour script and tasting script.
- Provide tours and tastings to customers.
- Monthly inventory.
- Purchase merchandise for store.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 Years retail management experience, preferably in a high-volume setting.
- Strong managerial and leading ability; team building skills are essential.
- Experience with inventory, cost control, and purchasing required.
- Experience working with Square System a plus.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays.
- Ability to deliver a customer centric tour and shopping experience by managing and delivering effective front-end operations and expectations.
- Able to interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner; remain positive and respectful, even in difficult situations; promote commitment to the organization’s vision and values; projects a positive image and serve as a role model for others.
- Ability to participate in the truck load, un-load and stocking processes to ensure integrity of products.
- Ability to perform light physical work; may be asked to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to ten lbs frequently and up to 5 lbs constantly performing such activities as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting and grasping for up to 8 hours without sitting.
- Ability to work in all weather climates (hot or cold).
- Motivated, driven self starter.
- Ability to work individually as well as, within a team environment to create and execute sales opportunities.
- Strong organizational skills as well as, attention to detail and skilled in working with sales projections.
- Strong communication skills.

- Must be punctual and reliable.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older to apply.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
