Position Information:
Boone County Family Resources is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Employment Support Professional in our Life and Work Connections Department.
The Employment Support Professional position is dedicated to helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities find competitive jobs. The Employment Support Professional networks with community businesses, help individuals set and pursue career goals, and documents progress using a web-based data management system. Good communication skills are essential to this position, as the Employment Support Professional has frequent interaction with individuals served, family members, case managers, employers, and other team members. This is a rewarding position for someone driven to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to thrive, connect and achieve in their community.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and preferred experience working directly with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Ability to obtain a Class E Chauffeurs license
- Access to a licensed and insured vehicle
- Demonstrate responsibility and maturity with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to pass applicable background checks and a pre-employment drug screening

Schedule: 40/hrs. per week

Salary: Starting at $18.41 an hour. Eligible for merit-based raises at 6 months, 1 year, and annually thereafter.
