RADIO TECHNICIAN I
BOCO JOINT COMM RADIO OPS
Responsibilities: Maintenance and repair of two-way radio system (VHF/UHF/800MHZ) base station transmitters, receivers, and related linking systems, including microwave, Wi-Fi, networking, and telephony.
Status: Full-time, non-exempt, benefited
Working hours: Primarily 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with some on-call
Location: Columbia, Missouri
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Valid General Radiotelephone Operator License, or working knowledge of networking, or an amateur radio license, or Associate's degree in related electronics field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver's license. Availability for after-hours response in support of the radio system, or other emergencies, as required. Must have a clear criminal background; must meet minimum qualifications set forth by FBI and MSHP CJIS Security policy; and must pass a background investigation.
Starting Hourly Pay Rate: $20.92 - $24.53 per hour
