Position Detail : The Golf Course Manager will be a part-time, approximately 15-hour per week non-exempt, position. This position will take place from April-October.
Accountable To : Executive Director, Boone County Conservation.
Position Objectives
Under the direction of the Boone County Conservation Executive Director, the Golf Manager will be responsible for overseeing the golf course, golf course seasonal staff, golf course fees, and general upkeep / maintenance.

- Manages the golf course irrigation system and provides monthly reporting on usage.
- Assists the Executive Director with the daily balancing of golf course fees.
- Supervises and participates in the application and recording of chemical applications (fertilizers and pesticides) on the course grounds in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Operation and maintenance of mowing equipment specialized for golf course use.
- Maintain turfgrass in proper playing condition on greens, fairways, tee boxes, and roughs.
- Oversee general repairs for course landscaping, cart paths, bridges, and structures.
- Determines when the golf course should be closed due to weather conditions that may damage the course or put golfers in harm if play continues.
- Complete any other task assigned by the Boone County Conservation Executive Director.

Environment
Almost exclusively subject to outside environmental conditions and extreme temperatures, cold and heat. Position could encounter dusty, windy, or wet conditions.
Position Location
Primary location is the Conservation Board Facilities in Boone County Don Williams Recreation Area. Telecommuting is NOT approved for this position.

Position requires regular daily contact with others such as the public, other county offices and vendors.
