Overview
Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of staff pharmacists, according to standard procedures, assists in dispensing and transporting medications, begins an introduction to non-sterile and/or sterile compounding and maintains appropriate records.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintains quality assurance standards and maintenance of required documentation. Includes maintaining regulatory cleanliness compliance.
- Assists in the preparation of medication orders which includes management of workflow, and basic preparation and dispensing, including non-sterile compounding.
- Use of automated/electronic systems to manage product preparation, inventory management, patient records, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintenance of inventory which includes inventory storage, ordering, rotating, beyond use dating, and cleanliness.
- Boone Health has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
- Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- No Experience
- No Supervisor Experience
- State Bd Pharm Registration
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharmacy Tech Certification
