Boone Memorial Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (MA) for our Danville Clinic. The MA will assist in patient exams, treatments, and overall clinic operations under the supervision of licensed medical providers. Key Responsibilities
-
Assist providers with patient exams, treatments, and other medical procedures
-
Take vital signs and prepare patients for exams
-
Collect specimens, perform blood draws, and conduct waived lab tests
-
Administer injections, including immunizations
-
Prepare and maintain medical records
-
Manage patient appointments and follow up on test results

Handle insurance forms, filing, inventory management, and patient chart updates
Qualifications
-
High School Diploma and completion of a Medical Assistant program at a credentialed facility
-
BLS Certification (preferred)
-
Certified Medical Assistant (preferred)
-
1 year experience with EMR service (preferred)

Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
Physical Demands
-
Ability to stand, sit, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform various motor skills such as bending, twisting, and reaching

Required education and experience
- High School Diploma and certificate from Medical Assistant program at a credentialed facility.
Preferred education and experience
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
