Radiologic Technologist (Per Diem)

Job Details

Boone Memorial Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Radiologic Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images while prioritizing patient safety. You will work closely with medical providers and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging and optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiologic examinations and clearly explain procedures.
• Perform radiologic exams using the safest exposure factors possible.
• Acquire and process digital images for interpretation.
• Import radiology reports and ensure proper placement in the EMR.
• Perform CT scans using the safest diagnostic dose (orientation provided if competency is not yet met).
• Train in additional imaging modalities as approved by the Department Director.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure exams are properly filed.
• Assist within and outside the department as needed, including transporting patients.
• Schedule patient exams and provide clear procedural instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the department.
• Comply with hospital and departmental policies, as well as Joint Commission standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism and a patient-centered approach in all interactions.

Qualifications

Required:

• Registered by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Hold and maintain a Medical Imaging License in the State of West Virginia

Preferred:

• One (1) or more years of hospital radiology experience
• Computed Tomography (CT) registry by the ARRT
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
