Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Strength and Conditioning Coach/Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in athletic performance training, exercise science, and education, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful strength and conditioning programs. This role requires a dynamic individual who can inspire and motivate students, helping them reach their full athletic potential while also educating them on the principles of physical fitness and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive strength and conditioning programs tailored to athletes that participate in a variety of sports.
Conduct assessments to evaluate athletes’ physical fitness and design personalized training plans.
Instruct and demonstrate proper techniques for strength training, conditioning, and injury prevention.
Monitor and track athletes’ progress, adjusting programs as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
Collaborate with coaches and BASS teachers to create integrated education experience that aligns with overall team goals and individual needs.
Teach physical education classes, focusing on promoting a healthy lifestyle, physical fitness, and sportsmanship.
Maintain a safe and organized training environment, ensuring all equipment is properly used and maintained.
Stay updated with the latest research and trends in strength and conditioning, applying new knowledge to enhance training programs.
Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages students to strive for excellence in both athletics and academics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Certification from a recognized organization such as NSCA (CSCS), NASM, or ACSM.
Previous experience as a strength and conditioning coach, preferably in an educational or team setting.
Strong understanding of exercise physiology, biomechanics, and sports nutrition.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, coaches, and healthcare professionals.
CPR/AED certification is required.
Must be able to pass a background check.
