Your Role as Compensation Specialist
We're looking for a passionate professional to help create compensation plans that make team members feel valued and supported. As a Compensation Specialist on our HR team, you'll administer and coordinate Booster's compensation plans, ensuring smooth and accurate processes that support every team member.
About the Job
You'll partner closely with HR, Finance, and Operations to create clear compensation deliverables, manage merit and bonus processes, and ensure we stay competitive and compliant. Your goal will be to combine people care with precision and process management.
- Ensure all resources are accessible to HRGs & managers within Workday, and organized in an accessible manner within private folders.
- Document compensation plans properly with annual agreements to ensure followthrough on bonus/commission payments and clarity on compensation plans for team members.
Analyze & Administer
As a key part of our team, you'll:
- Conduct market research and salary benchmarking to maintain competitive compensation structures.
- Develop and update compensation policies and guidelines in alignment with company objectives and federal, state, and city level legislation.
- Work closely with HR, Finance, and Operations to coordinate commission and bonus payments for the close of the fall and spring semesters.
- Support HR Generalists to ensure compensation changes are consistent and fair organizationally, and are properly implemented and documented.
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 2–4 years of experience in compensation analysis, HR, or related roles.
- Experience with Workday preferred.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Mac Apps, and Asana (or similar tools).
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- Previous administrative or HR support experience, preferably in a corporate or educational setting.
