Booth & Associates is seeking an entry-level electrical engineering professional to join our Transmission/Distribution team as a Project Engineer I. This position involves engineering analysis and design related to electric power utility systems.
Position Requirements:
- Project Engineer I works under close supervision and receives specific and detailed instructions for required tasks and results expected.
- Review engineering plans, specifications, and equipment for utility projects.
- Assist in the continued development of both Company and Client standards.
- Analyze problems and issues.
- Participate in field inventory, design, survey, and reviews for Transmission and Distribution projects.
- Focus on performing a diversified range of studies related to electric utilities, including (not limited to) Power Quality, Transient Analysis, Distribution Protective Coordination, Motor Starting Analysis, Regulator Placement, and System Capacity studies/analysis/implementation.
- Design and stake overhead and underground distribution projects to meet NESC, RUS or other applicable standards, specifications and all applicable codes.
- Provide design support through preparation of draft reports, calculations, details, plans and specifications.
- Preparation of scheduling, planning, designing, permitting and construction documents.
- Basic project management skills and ability to meet deliverables on time.
- Exhibit good oral and written communication skills (English) for interaction with supervisor, employees, and clients.
- Travel is required for this position on an as-needed basis.

Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- Zero (0) years of applicable experience required.
- Perform basic functions of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Physically able to negotiate construction sites and work outside.
- Must be able to pass company drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving policy.
