About the Internship:
This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in compliance monitoring and oversight within a professional consulting environment. You will work alongside experienced Analysts, contributing to reviewing and assessing contracts and sub-recipient activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist analysts in reviewing programmatic and financial records to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and agreements.
- Support the team in researching federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
- Aid in the preparation of work papers and documentation for monitoring reviews.
- Assist with the organization and maintenance of compliance-related files and records.
- Contribute to the review of grant agreements and modifications to ensure adherence to regulations.
- Support Analysts in conducting sub-recipient risk assessments.
- Learn and assist with the process of identifying and documenting areas of non-compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of monitoring reports and presentations.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Perform other administrative and research tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Strong interest in compliance, auditing, or government regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to learn quickly and be proactive.
