Position Requirements
- Provide assistance with financial statement preparation and support services for the grant accrual estimation and validation process.
- Assist with performing quarterly financial statements fluctuation (flux) analysis after all quarter-end adjustments and journal entries have been posted in the general ledger and financial statements have been generated.
- Assist with the preparation of ad-hoc financial reports and presentations for FTA management from the accounting system.
- Assist with researching other federal accounting issues that may arise during the financial accounting and reporting cycle related to grant accrual in the preparation of the monthly financial statements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant, Certified Government Financial Manager, or similar professional financial certification is strongly recommended.
- Three (3) or more years of demonstrated knowledge in federal financial management.
- Experience in performing financial management analysis and review functions.
- Current training and/or experience in Federal accounting standards, United States Standard General Ledger, and Federal financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Oracle Federal Financials and Oracle database applications are strongly recommended.
- Experience in preparing, editing, and finalizing reports, documents, and briefings.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
