Boothwyn Pharmacy is a PCAB, ACHC, and URAC accredited compounding pharmacy that specializes in custom medications for humans and animals. Our operations rely heavily on real-time integrations with healthcare providers, third-party systems, and multiple databases, ensuring seamless data exchange and automation. We work extensively with API development, cloud-based services, and system integrations to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
Job Summary :
The Integrations Support Developer will be responsible for maintaining, testing, and optimizing API-driven integrations with EHR / EMR systems, provider networks, and external data sources. This role focuses on ensuring integration reliability, debugging complex connectivity issues, automating workflows, and supporting real-time data exchanges. Working under the Senior Integrations Engineer, this role will also involve API testing, data validation, logging, and troubleshooting using industry-standard tools such as Postman, LINQPad, and Swagger.
Primary Responsibilities :
Integration & API Support :
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot real-time API integrations with providers, EHR / EMR systems, and third-party platforms.
- Debug and optimize RESTful APIs and middleware to ensure seamless data synchronization.
- Work closely with the Senior Integrations Engineer to resolve integration-related issues.
- Assist in creating and maintaining API documentation and onboarding external partners for API usage.
- Implement error handling, logging, and monitoring mechanisms to enhance integration stability.
API Testing & Validation :
Use Postman, Swagger, and LINQPad to validate API functionality, response structures, and performance.Conduct manual and automated API testing, validating data integrity and identifying potential integration failures.Implement unit, integration, and regression testing for APIs and data pipelines.Assist in mock API development and data simulation to test real-world integration scenarios.Perform load testing and latency analysis on high-traffic API endpoints.System & Database Management :
Support SQL-based integrations, ensuring Azure SQL, SQL Server, and other databases function correctly within integrations.Write T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to validate and optimize data flows.Develop data transformation workflows between systems, ensuring accurate mappings and structured data exchange.Support & Incident Management :
Act as tier 1 support for integration-related issues, escalating complex problems to the Senior Integrations Engineer.Utilize Azure DevOps, Application Insights, and Log Analytics to monitor integration health and troubleshoot failures.Analyze API logs and identify root causes of connectivity and performance issues.Provide technical support to internal teams and external partners on integration best practices.Security & Compliance :
Ensure all integrations adhere to HIPAA, PCI, and other healthcare compliance standards.Assist in securing API endpoints, OAuth authentication, EntraID (Azure Active Directory), JWT tokens, and encryption practices.Regularly audit API security policies and role-based access control (RBAC) implementations.Automation & Performance Optimization :
Improve API response times and reduce latency using caching strategies, async processing, and load balancing.Create automated scripts for API testing and integration validation.Assist in refactoring legacy integrations and implementing new API endpoints for efficiency.Technical Skills & Requirements :
Programming : Proficiency in C# (.NET Core / .NET Framework), JavaScript (Node.js, TypeScript), and SQL (T-SQL, Azure SQL, SQL Server).API Development & Testing : Experience with Postman, LINQPad, Swagger, SoapUI, and RESTful API testing methodologies.Cloud & DevOps : Hands-on experience with Azure App Services, Azure DevOps, CI / CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).Database & ETL Processes : Strong understanding of SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformation (ETL / ELT processes).Logging & Monitoring : Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, or other observability tools.Security & Compliance : Understanding of OAuth, Active Directory, EntraID, JWT, encryption best practices, and secure API implementation.Professional Qualifications :
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in API development, integrations, or software support.Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).Experience working with healthcare systems (EHR / EMR) and third-party integrations is a plus.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
