JOB SUMMARY :
The Lead Pharmacy Production Technician is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the pharmacy production environment. This role includes coordinating workflows, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing a team of technicians, and maintaining the quality and accuracy of compounded or manufactured pharmaceutical products.
- Supervisory Duties :
- Lead and oversee pharmacy technicians in production areas, ensuring efficient workflows.
- Train new and existing technicians in production processes, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor team performance and provide feedback to enhance productivity and quality.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
EDUCATION : High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or certification in pharmacy technology preferred.
EXPERIENCE : Minimum of 3-5 years as a pharmacy technician, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES / REGISTRATIONS : Current pharmacy technician certification (e.g., PTCB or NHA) and registration as required by state regulations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively
before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions,
percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY : Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to maintain a level and appropriate business demeanor.
