POSITION OVERVIEW
The Administrative Assistant is a full-time position (40 hours/week). We value the importance of cross-training our employees, therefore this position will not only be directly involved with performing front desk duties like scheduling, taking payments, and managing patient flow in a team approach but also billing and coding, personal injury and worker’s compensation cases, record keeping, other insurance and claims related duties. Additionally this position is responsible for collaboratively prioritizing office duties, leadership, and ensuring compliance with office policies and procedures, federal and state employment laws, and regulations affecting chiropractic such as HIPAA and OIG.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma with additional education and/or experience is preferred
- Experience working in a chiropractic, medical, or other health care office including office-billing practices is preferred
- Computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (MS Word and MS Excel in particular)
- Basic knowledge of mathematics—adding, subtracting, multiplying and percentages
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to openly communicate and collaborate with other team members
- 2 years customer facing experience and exceptional customer service skills preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
- Detail oriented and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Cooperative, approachable, caring and compassionate toward team members and patients
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
