Geologist, Lead

Key Role:

Leverages advanced expertise and advanced academic research skills in the field of earth science to provide laboratory, field and advisory support to clients in the decision-making process. Applies leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts, contributes to the development of new principles and concepts. Works on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions. Operates with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision, mentors or supervises employees in both company and technical competencies.

Basic Qualifications:

• 15 years of experience in Environmental Engineering, soil and rock mechanics

• Experience with designing, implementing, and monitoring environmental control systems to maintain regulatory and company environmental standards

• Experience with conducting analyses of hard and deeply buried underground facilities and the surrounding geology under applied loads, environmental conditions, and weapons effects

• Experience with examining seismic, electrical, or electromagnetics data to characterize underground facilities and hard and deeply buried targets

• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geoscience, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering

• Certified Professional Geologist, Professional Geologist (PG) License, Certified Hydrologist (CHG), or Certified Environmental Geologist (CEG) Certification

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with conducting environment audits and developing solutions to environmental problems

• Experience in managing and overseeing sights

• Experience utilizing GIS, statistical analysis, analytical and modeling tools

• Experience supporting the DoD

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

• Master's degree in Geology, Geoscience, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
