Key Role:

Drive electronic health record (EHR) system modernization for Veterans and evolve healthcare delivery at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Apply broad understanding of the principles of computer and information science to the advancement of life sciences research, health professions education, public health, such as informatics, clinical informatics, and public health informatics. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts and contributes to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provides highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Mentors or supervises employees and their technical competencies. This position is a Hybrid role with Booz Allen. Candidate is expected to work on-site at a Booz Allen or Client Facility 20-50% of your time, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Knowledge of software design

• Ability to address system integration challenges

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering and 5 years of experience in Health Information Technology, or 15 years of experience in Health Information Technology in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with electronic health records

• Experience with Veterans Affairs

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
