What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maneuver Collective Training Exercise Planner position at Booz Allen?
Key Role:
Serve as a Maneuver Exercise Planner on a team that performs advanced analytical and technical scenario design and planning tasks in support of collective training operations. Demonstrate knowledge of Joint and Army Warfighting Function doctrine, tactics, techniques, processes, and applicable regulations involved in military operations at the Joint and Theater level. Assist in scenario design to establish a doctrinally correct Brigade, Division, Corps, and Theater level training environment for Combat Support Training Exercises, Command Post Exercises, and other collective training events, in accordance with guidance, unit tasks, and commander’s training objectives with detail to support any Rotational Training Unit. Assist in developing supporting scenario products, including Road to Conflict, Scenario Timeline and Date Conversion Charts, Unit Listings, Task Organizations, OPFOR, Graphics such as analog and digital, Unit Start Locations, Unit movements by time increments, Concept Sketches, and other appropriate planning products. Assist in the development of doctrinally correct and complete Joint and Army Operations Orders with related maneuver graphics and synch matrices for Theater such as Joint and CFLCC, Divisions, and select Brigades with detail to support any RTU training objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
- 13 years of experience in the military
- 5 years of experience training military units or planning military exercises
- Experience with Army C2 systems
- Experience serving on division level or above staffs
- Experience using the Microsoft Office 365 suite of tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams
- Ability to perform activities with a very high degree of attention to detail
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of current Joint and Army doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures, and force structure
- Knowledge of Army training database systems, including FMSWeb and Combined Arms Training Strategies (CATS)
- Knowledge of TRADOC ODIN and the Decisive Action Training Environment
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
