Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and eager Testing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for healthcare, excellent patient engagement skills, and a commitment to upholding our core values of teamwork, excellence, compassion, integrity, and commitment. This role involves performing various ophthalmic tests, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a high standard of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform OCT (both glaucoma and max).
- Conduct Visual Fields tests.
- Execute Pentacam procedures.
- Carry out Photography and Fundus imaging.
- Take phone calls, return voicemails, and respond to tasks promptly.
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical office practices and medical terminology.
- Be familiar with medications and ocular disease processes.
- Commit to excellence in patient care and relations.
- Engage each patient quickly, establish rapport, and assess needs.
- Responsible for care, maintenance, stocking, and set-up of rooms.
- Follow safety, infection control, and quality assurance protocols. Maintain a clean, orderly, and professional work area.
- Maintain strict confidentiality.
- Arrive consistently on time for work and be prepared to do the job.
- Remain calm and tactful during stressful situations, emergencies, and confrontations.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
