What are the responsibilities and job description for the Relationship Banker position at Border Bank?
We're hiring a Relationship Banker at the Fargo, ND Border Bank!
As a Relationship Banker you will provide exceptional customer experience, assist with new deposit accounts, educate customers and prospects on appropriate products, and support the overall growth efforts of the bank. The Relationship Banker will also assist customers with all teller functions and will need to understand related compliance regulations related to applicable bank services.
Relationship Banker Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Prefer 2-3 years customer service/sales experience.
Relationship Banker Accountabilities:
- Knowledgeable about and educate customers on additional banking products and services such as Checking and Savings Accounts, Certificates of Deposit, IRAs, Debit Cards and Electronic Banking. Always prioritize the customer's best interest in sales related activities.
- Create an exceptional customer experience from start to finish.
- Be familiar with other products the bank offers and actively build partnerships with those who sell them. Refer customers to the appropriate department/individual for products outside of Retail and establish deposit relationships to compliment customers of other parts of the bank.
- Be an expert in digital banking, guiding customers to maximize the accessibility and convenience of their account with these tools.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn additional functions to meet business and customer needs.
- Complete all account establishment and servicing in accordance with bank policy and procedure.
- Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in all operational duties.
Teller Operations and Functions:
- Perform paying and receiving functions for customers. This will include but is not limited to deposits, withdrawals, transfer requests, and the sale of monetary instruments.
- Understand and comply with the related laws and compliance regulations that pertain to the job function. Examples include Bank Secrecy Act, Privacy, and Funds Availability. This includes also following bank-wide policies and procedures.
- Accuracy in cash counting, ensuring cash drawer is in balance, within assigned limits and is kept secure at all times.
- Assist in running branch capture/proof and adhere to the appropriate daily schedule for completion.
- Other duties may include, maintaining branch equipment and reporting any issues to supervisor, filling/balancing of the ATM, processing night and mail deposits, and currency exchange.
