What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Border Café/Jose Tejas?
Looking for friendly and welcoming personalities to add to our host team at our busy tex-mex restaurant. As a host, you are the first and last impression the guest receives. Therefore you are a major contributor to our success! The relationship that you establish with the guest while they are waiting and while you escort them to their table often sets the tone for the rest of their dining experience.
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
Regular attendance and proper attire
Basic understanding and speaking of English
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Able to calculate the wait
Proper phone procedures
Politely greet and seat guests
Communicating effectively with all members of the team.
Cleaning dirty menus.
Paging and seating guests.
Handing out to go food and door dash orders.
Monitoring restroom paper products and trash levels
Great smile and upbeat attitude at all times working solo and with the team.
Must be 18 years old and have availability to work on Sundays and holidays.
This is a strictly part time position.
Starting pay $18.00
Salary : $18 - $20
