Courier Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Courier Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of packages and documents while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to navigate efficiently, and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of all deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload packages from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Navigate routes effectively using GPS or maps to ensure timely deliveries.
• Operate various types of vehicles including vans, box trucks, and manual transmission vehicles.
• Perform heavy lifting as needed while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including obtaining signatures when required.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding any delays or issues encountered during deliveries.
• Assist in warehouse operations when not on delivery routes, including moving items and operating forklifts if certified.
• Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience as a courier driver or in a similar role preferred.
• Ability to handle heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
• Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
