1.0 Job Summary
Material Handler ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed. These duties include operating forklifts, pallet jacks and other machinery necessary to move these items. Ensure all production lines get the materials they need in a timely manner to prevent production down time. This position includes handling SAP MM module and reports directly to the Warehouse Coordinator, Borgers Ohio, Inc.
2.0 Overall Purpose of the Role
As a material handler the overall purpose is to ensure production has the correct material to keep a steady flow in production. Always maintain a safe and organized shop floor and warehouse.
3.0 Pay:
· Starting pay is $18.50 per hour with a pay increase to $19.50 per hour after 30 days.
· Shift premium for night shift is $.50 from 6:00pm to 10:00 pm and $.75 from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.
· Time and a half after 40 hours worked.
· Double time after 48 hours worked.
4.0 Work Schedule
· Monday through Friday with some weekends
· 8 hour shift –2pm to 10:05pm.
5.0 Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- On time disposition and shipping of automobile parts to customer and module center
- Unloading trucks and receiving of parts through SAP
- Identify damaged packaging in receiving and forward claim to shift lead.
- Returnable and empties packaging management.
- Continuous improvement of shipping performance
- Daily KPI (on-time deliveries and trucks per day)
- Maintain clean and safe working environment
- Assemble and fill boxes and other cartons with items that need to be shipped.
- Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs.
- Affix proper postage to each package in preparation of shipping
- Responsible for physically taking item’s from company’s stock to fulfill orders.
- Drive a fork truck
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
- Escalate all transfer order/material issues to the logistics clerk on shift.
- Effective cooperation with other members of the Borgers USA team, including subordinates, peers or managers.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of Borgers organization
- Other duties as assigned

70 Credentials and Experience:
- HS Diploma or equivalent in education/experience
- Experienced level forklift driving ability

- 20/20 vision (with or without corrective lenses)
- Ability to differentiate colors
