What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Application Engineer position at BorgWarner Automotive Components (Ningbo) Co., Ltd.?
turbochargers, including customer interface to gather technical requirements,
selecting the right product from product lines for each application program,
coordinating internal activities of BOM and engineering drawings, matching,
prototyping, validation and release, etc, and solving the engineering issues during the product application development stage.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
To be the owner of application engineering in assigned program decided by management.
To be a focal point of customers in application engineering in China.
Create and maintain DVP&R plan and coordinate the support from other functional areas (validation and release, quality, manufacturing) to validate the products before and after customer nomination process.
Follow up program milestone, complete BOM & engineering drawing release process, and Application Check, involved into program quality gate review.
Issue the engineering requests to related teams in engineering, and track the progress to ensure product validation completion before SOP.
Provide technical support to both suppliers and customers.
Learn and master the knowledge of turbocharger products through training and operation practice.
Employees should strictly abide the EHS rules and regulations and behaviour guideline in the plant; wear PPE in right way; actively participate in EHS training; do housekeeping at work; report accidents and unsafe issues immediately, join the accident disposal. Specific presentation can be reached in Workday system and individual job description.

Requirements/Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or above in turbocharging, internal combustion engine, thermodynamics or mechanical engineering.
Min. 3 years related working experience, direct automobile turbocharger or internal combustion engine development experience is desired.
Technical Skills: Turbo application matching, interpret turbo performance and engine performance.
Must have good organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Professional verbal and written English & Chinese communication skills essential.
Proficient with Microsoft office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
