POSITION SUMMARY
BorgWarner Morse Systems is currently looking for a talented individual to join as a Mechanical Engineering Co-op Engine Solenoids, at our Powertrain Technical Center, Auburn Hills MI.
This position would run from September 2024 and end in December 2024. A typical student in this program works 30-40 hours per week.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in design, development, and validation of new products
Works with product engineers to support prototype builds with documentation and data processing
Works with CAD designers or individually to develop tooling used for assembly, performance and validation testing
Gathers benchmarking data (performance, design, manufacturing strategy) of competitors products and documents with reports
Assists test engineers in managing test plans, setting up durability tests and writing reports
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications)
Engineering Student (Mechanical preferred)
GPA of 3.0 or better
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Computer skills in Microsoft Office products
Familiarity with CAD / CAE tools preferred
