Products and solutions range from existing portfolio Power Electronics - BorgWarner, but go far beyond and will include NPIs as well as applications projects. Job purpose The Systems Modeling and Simulation Engineer is responsible for developing & maintaining Systems Simulation Models for xEV propulsion systems, with a particular focus on the traction inverter. This includes system and vehicle plant model development, integration of control models, integration of pre- and post-processing scripts, model & data configuration management, processing & analysis of test data for use in simulation and model application to customer projects. Key responsibilities Leads the development of simulation models for system models of electrified propulsion systems. Lead the integration of system plant models, system control models and vehicle models for system simulations of electrified powertrains Assemble library of representative system models and reference architectures Maintain Configuration Management process for simulation models, system, sub-system & component model parameters, and input & output data sets. Apply models to customer projects and summarize results. Identify areas for improvement. Process and analyze data sets from bench/lab/vehicle testing for model validation as needed. Collaborate across all product development areas, such as controls, software, electronic hardware and validation for continuous improvement of the system models Present results internally and to customers. What we’re looking for Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Previous experience in simulation, systems modeling, and controls. Experience in Simulink, Stateflow, state-space models, MATLAB, MATLAB plotting tools, MS Excel, TDMS and DAT file conversion. Good communication and intercultural skills Fluency in English is required.
