Assembles components, loads, unloads, and operates Assembly machines within a fast-paced environment to produce world-class quality products.

Standard Duties :
- Must have the ability and willingness to be trained on and perform all assembly line operations within the BorgWarner Assembly manufacturing process.
- Visually inspect and assemble small components to quality standards.
- Use hand-held gages.
- Work with automatic transmission fluid.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Assembly Operators will be expected to safely perform, as needed, all tasks assigned by the Team Lead / Coordinator including all positions within the Assembly department.
- Safely operates all equipment in the Assembly department.
- Reads and understands job aids / work instructions and / or follows oral instructions to execute the component flow requirements.
- Manually loads, unloads, and / or maneuvers materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, baskets, and shelves on foot and by hand as required (see physical requirements).
- Support 5S / Housekeeping activities as required.
- Use appropriate hold tags to process defective parts through nonconforming material procedure.
- SAP entries and transactions required as needed.
- Adherence to standard work procedures to assemble units in addition to development and continuous improvement to the standards.
- Performs required work steps within required cycle time.
- Wear all required PPE and follow safety protocols.
- Additional duties may be assigned.
Safety, Health and Physical Requirements :
Key Competencies
Education : High School diploma / GED or basic skills assessment required.
Experience : 6 months of assembly related experience preferred.Experience in fast paced industrial lean environment.
Computer Skills : To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer knowledge.
