What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at BorgWarner?
We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to set up, maintain and operate machinery, including conventional, special purpose, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines: lathes, grinders, milling machines and drill presses to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic.

Standard Duties:
- Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions.
- Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
- Loading and unloading of CNC machinery.
- Packing out finished material into dunnage.
- Loading and unloading CMM/Measurement systems.
- Cleaning and organizing of work areas (5S standards).
- Move materials around as needed using pallet jacks, carts, etc.
- Support other departments as needed.
- Read and understand internal procedures and policies
Safety, Health and Physical Requirements:
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. repetitively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Repetitive motion activities including but not limited to loading machines, unloading machines, standing, lifting, loading/unloading carts.
- All employees are responsible for knowing, understanding and complying with the safety policies and procedures.

Education:
High School diploma or GED required
Experience:
- 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience in fast paced industrial lean environment
- Education & Basic and advanced math skills: familiarity with ratios
Computer Skills:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer knowledge.
