BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a dynamic, results driven individual to join as system feature owner (Thermal) as part of the systems engineering competency at our Propulsion Technical Center (PTC) in Auburn Hills, MI.
PowerDrive Systems develops hybrid and full electric vehicle solutions and is looking for a systems engineer with technical knowledge in the area of thermal management of traction motor systems (power electronics, electric motors and gearbox).
Key Responsibilities
- Planning Develops, maintains and tracks the implementation of the feature roadmap
- Leading Drives a structured approach to the feature team. Defines clear tasks and actions.
- Tracking Uses dashboards and KPIs to monitor implementation progress.
- Delivering Takes ownership to deliver the work products associated with the role.
- Requirements management Negotiate, analyze, decompose and allocate system requirements to competencies.
- Technical analysis Design the system for your feature. Define the boundaries, architecture, functional impacts etc.
- Work closely with the systems modeling team to drive a simulation-based approach
- Mentor less experienced engineers; role model for BW Beliefs
