Job Purpose
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Validation Intern.
Student would be working in one or both Environmental Validation groups here at the Kokomo Tech Center. That includes the group that validates ECUs for internal combustion engine vehicles and the group that validates components for hybrid and electric vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
This position will adhere to Global Star Safety Program, including safety rules, practices and training as outlined in the BorgWarner Safety Policy Manual, which includes the use of equipment, protective devices, or clothing that the employer requires. This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses. He/she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and coworkers. In addition, he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.

Job Purpose
BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Validation Intern.
Student would be working in one or both Environmental Validation groups here at the Kokomo Tech Center. That includes the group that validates ECUs for internal combustion engine vehicles and the group that validates components for hybrid and electric vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Building and modifying automotive wiring harnesses with wire sizes typically from 20 AWG up to 3/0.
- Connecting wiring harnesses from devices under test (DUTs) to test equipment.
- Setting up tests including moving equipment racks into place and connecting coolant lines to DUTs.
- Assisting Environmental & Maintenance Technicians with validation testing tasks.
- Labor (e.g., breakdown boxes, move pallets, etc.)
- Undergraduate student pursuing a major in an Engineering or Mechanical discipline is required.
- 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scale
- Experience working with hand tools or power tools is required.
- Experience with test equipment (power supplies, DMMS, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience reading technical documents (electrical schematics or mechanical drawings) is a plus.
