Borinquen Medical Centers is based in Miami, Florida and is seeking to hire a full-time Maintenance Worker to join our team. The maintenance worker will be responsible to perform routine, sometimes heavy, manual labor and assists skilled and semi-skilled workers in one of the following divisions of BMC: Building and/or Maintenance.

- Support staff in assigned project-based work.
- Maintain the overall condition of the main building, and grounds.
- Perform inspection of the premises and ensure that any hazardous conditions are immediately taken care of.
- Performs both major and minor repair work around the building such as repairing locks and i nstalling window blinds.
- Replace broken windows and door locks.
- Remove signs of graffiti from walls and windows.
- Install and repair electric wiring and replace bulbs and exit lights.
- E nsure that elevators and entrance doors locks are in proper working condition.
- Inspect company equipment for possible problems and report findings.
- Installs and replaces ceiling tiles and floor tiles.
- Repair, patch and paint walls that are needed in different areas of the buildings.
- Use specialized equipment such as floor stripper machines, floor polisher and blowers to perform cleaning duties.
- Take measures to perform maintenance on equipment and tools.
- Responsible for keeping structures and the surroundings clean.
- Perform general maintenance on sanitary systems of buildings.
- Ensure proper waste management procedures are carried out.
- Move furniture and equipment upon instruction.
- Make sure that the parking area and grounds are free of leaves or trash.
- Replacing broken fixtures, patch cracks in concrete pavement or drywall, and paint and repair walls worn and surfaces.
- Emptying trash cans, receptacles, and cleaning windows.
- Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
- High School Diploma, or the equivalent.
- A minimum of 0-2 years of work experience in the performance of general maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of tools and equipment in a related field.
