We are seeking someone to join the Receiving & Stockroom team on day-shift!

The Inventory Control Specialist maintains the integrity of the perpetual inventory while meeting the demands for materials and supplies from the production and R&D department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Check count of receipts from the Receiving Department and neatly store and identify materials and supplies in their assigned bin locations within the company stockroom.
- ·Fill requisitions and kit requests from Production and R&D departments.
- Monitor and secure materials and supplies to reduce and ultimately eliminate shrinkage.
- Cycle count materials and supplies to validate the computerized perpetual count.
- Advise department supervisor of material and supply shortages as needed.
- Assist with physical inventory counts as prescribed by the finance and material management departments
- Accurate and timely data entry of material and supply transactions in the company’s computerized inventory control system.
- Operate company forklifts when needed.
- Comply and support company quality policies and procedures
- Miscellaneous duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of inventory techniques including but not limited to cycle counts, transaction documentation, labeling stock areas and materials and stocking.
- Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions and write legibly in English
- Basic computer and mathematical skills.
- Good record keeping skills.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. repeatedly.
- Forklift skills and/or license.
- Good housekeeping skills.
- Good self-discipline to keep data entry, work orders, requisitions and kit pulls current.
- Self-starter that can work with little supervision and/or cooperatively as a team to maximize productivity and the success of the employee, as well as other members of the team and the department as a whole.
