Salon Receptionist

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Salon Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our clients while efficiently managing appointments and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, self motivtion and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients warmly as they enter the salon and provide them with necessary information about services offered.
• Manage appointment scheduling, including booking, confirming, and rescheduling appointments as needed.
• Handle processing payments and maintaining accurate transaction records.
• Assist in up-selling salon services and products to enhance client experiences and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and retail displays.
• Collaborate with stylists and other team members to ensure smooth salon operations and excellent customer service.
• Address client inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Answer phones professionally and return calls promptly.

Experience

• Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred, particularly in a retail or salon environment.
• Familiarity with basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of retail sales techniques, including up-selling strategies, is beneficial.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within a team setting.
• A background in supervising or training staff can be advantageous but is not required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 25 per week
