Public Works Employee
The Borough of Baldwin is accepting applications for the position of Public Works. This position requires a Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B. Tanker Endorsement is preferable but not required. Candidate must currently live within 5 air miles of the Borough of Baldwin.
Position will be paid on an hourly basis, 40 hours per week, Monday thru Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM. Position may at times necessitate working more than 8 consecutive hours per day and / or forty hours per week as circumstances require. Position will require 24 hours on call availability on a rotating basis particularly during winter months.
Candidate must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and move up to 50 pounds. Candidate must be able to work in outside weather conditions all times of the year. Any of the following skill sets are desired : concrete finishing, storm / sanitary sewer construction, electrical wiring knowledge, mechanical, welding, backhoe and / or equipment operation, landscaping, grading.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to thrive in a public setting.
