Salary : Starting at $25.46 per hour
Job Duties
1.Assist the Chief Sewer Plant Operator with the daily operation and maintenance of the Waynesboro Sewer Treatment Plant, SewerPumping Stations, and Collection System. Operator shall be responsible in performing required laboratory analysis for plant process control, as well as testing required by Federal, State and Local agencies. Operator shall be responsible for the required record keeping and reporting required by aforementioned agencies
2. Assist the Chief Sewer Plant Operator with the calibration and maintenance of laboratory and process control instrumentation. In addition, shall assist the Chief Sewer Plant Operator in maintenance and safe operation of all plant process equipment and sewer pumping stations including : chemical feed pumps, wastewater pumps, sludge transfer pumps, sludge process equipment, and all other plant process equipment.
3.Perform laboratory analysis following fixed procedures. Interpret findings and make process control adjustments. Read charts and keep records of chemical usage, process systems, and rainfall. Report unusual findings to the Chief Sewer PlantOperator or other superiors.
4. Operate truck and tractor with front-end loader attachment.
5. Maintain sludge drying beds.
6. Must be licensed with Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources.
7. In temporary absence of Chief Sewer Plant Operator, may be required to assume the dutiesand responsibilities of the Chief Sewer Plant Operator.
