Job Description
Sorting and delivery of Queens Borough President's Mail.
Collecting and Mailing outgoing mail.
Usage of the Pitney Bowes postage machine.
May be required to deliver mail/pick up mail/reports,payroll from various City Agencies
May assist Director of Facilities with the following assignments:
Maintain daily calendar of conference room schedule of bookings
Liaison between other City Agencies in Queens Borough Hall and the Queens Borough President's Office
Prepare and set up for meetings/events held in Queens Borough Hall
Will be responsible for assisting with management of agency inventory and will be agency salvage officer.
Position will require heavy lifting.
Position requires some night and weekend work.
Valid NYS Driver's License is required.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualification Requirements
1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.

Residency Requirement
New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County. To determine if the residency requirement applies to you, please discuss with the agency representative at the time of interview.
