You Are
- Observant. Provide an armed presence and maintain a constant state of awareness to protect company property and employees. Monitor the stores surveillance system.
- Perceptive. React appropriately to any situation that may arise. Follow the security departments standard operating procedures or directions by security team members. Conduct initial inquiries and complete appropriate reports.
- Analytical. Responsible for investigating missing merchandise by reviewing surveillance, performing investigation, tracking the movement of missing merchandise throughout the store, and reporting findings to management.
- Helpful. Greet visitors and vendors. Answer questions, contact appropriate team members, log visitors, and issue visitor passes.
- Informed. Maintain knowledge of current state statutes and city ordinances regulating security in the private sector, including 'Merchants Privilege' and 'Use of Force.' Understand Federal OSHA regulations pertaining to retail operations. Recognize safety concerns and address them.
- Certified. Carry an approved firearm. Maintain certification in firearm safety and participate in annual qualification in accordance with established standard operating procedures. Maintain CPR, First Aid, AED, and Blood Borne Pathogens certifications.
