Job Description
Reports to General Manager
The Assistant General Manager’s role is comprised of three functions: Leading Our Team, Serving Our Customer, and Managing Financial Results. Each of these functions require different skills and time spent in each area, but are equally important parts of being on the Bortnick/Beatty team.
Leading Our Team:
- Manages the day-to-day operations of the business.
- Plans, assigns, and directs work within the store-across all departments.
- Develops, trains, and maintains a high-performing staff of Team Members.
- Clearly establishes the goals and expectations of each Team Member.
- Reviews each Team Member’s performance and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Knows and uses manufacturer’s programs for dating, returns, and ordering.
- Maintains cleanliness of the showroom and used equipment areas as needed.
- Completes certification requirements and training to stay updated as to new products and lines from vendors.
- Evaluates and updates brochures, reference material and displays to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and a professional appearance at all times.
- Performs related or other tasks, as assigned.
Serving Our Customer:
- Sets a positive tone and energy for all Team Members and customers.
- Provides excellent service during all touchpoints of the customer experience, including being able to navigate between Parts, Sales and Service Departments as needed.
Managing Financial Results:
- Works to achieve maximum profitability and performance in each department.
- Coordinates departmental activities to increase operational efficiency and economy.
- Reviews inventory levels of Whole Goods and General Manager, making necessary recommendations to ensure profitability.
- Evaluates product lines and vendors for profitability.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
