Reports to General Manager
The Assistant General Managers role is comprised of three functions : Leading Our Team, Serving Our Customer, and Managing Financial Results . Each of these functions require different skills and time spent in each area, but are equally important parts of being on the Bortnick / Beatty team.
Leading Our Team :
- Manages the day-to-day operations of the business.
- Plans, assigns, and directs work within the store-across all departments.
- Develops, trains, and maintains a high-performing staff of Team Members.
- Clearly establishes the goals and expectations of each Team Member.
- Reviews each Team Members performance and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Knows and uses manufacturers programs for dating, returns, and ordering.
- Maintains cleanliness of the showroom and used equipment areas as needed.
- Completes certification requirements and training to stay updated as to new products and lines from vendors.
- Evaluates and updates brochures, reference material and displays to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and a professional appearance at all times.
- Performs related or other tasks, as assigned.
