Working Conditions:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment; hot when weather is hot and cold when weather is cold. Greasy, dirty and noisy environment. Work involves lifting, pulling and/or pushing of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Standing and walking considerable distances. Operation requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
1. Qualifications:
1.1. A High School diploma or GED equivalent.
1.2. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
1.3. Manual dexterity required for operating, machinery, hand tools and hand held technical devices.
1.4. Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures is a plus.
1.5. Employee must be able to work with a flexible schedule which may require over-time and weekends when needed.
2. Responsibilities:
2.1. Examine, inspect, and measure pipes to verify conformance to specifications.
2.2. Keep records of pipe information on MES.
2.3. Make the ID and OD grinding of the pipes according to the product tolerance.
2.4. Employee must follow all PPE policies and safety rules.
2.5. Employ must follow the 5S implementation procedure.
3. Activities:
3.1. Inspect the pipe received from the weld line UT inspection and pipes brought it from the yard.
3.2. Measure the problematic parts and if the prime part of the pipe meets the length requirements of the API Norm, cut the problematic part of the pipe.
3.3. Grind pipe that has ID/OD flash on the grinding conveyor to the API thickness requirements in accordance to the SOP.
3.4. Send the prime pipe to be entered into the system by final inspection.
3.5. Record the pipe and scrap lengths and quantities on the rework form.
3.6. This position will require to assist other stations as necessary.
3.7. Maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area and keep it free and clear of debris.
3.8. Check that all machinery is properly serviced before starting up and during shift.
3.9. This position may require operating Forklift and Overhead Crane.
3.10. Other duties as assigned.
